Do I have to be having surgery to use the Shoulder Sleeper Pillow?
No — the pillow isn't only for post-operative use. People managing shoulder pain, stiffness or reduced movement benefit in the same way, including those recovering from injuries, breast procedures with drains, lymphoedema, or stroke-related conditions.
Does the Shoulder Sleeper replace my sling at night?
It's designed to take the place of your sling during sleep and rest at home. Your surgeon or physiotherapist may still recommend a traditional sling for walking, time outdoors or exercise — always follow their guidance.
How soon after surgery can I start using it?
As soon as you're home from hospital. The pillow supports your arm and shoulder in the recommended recovery position from day one, helping you rest through the most important phase of healing.
How do I choose the right size?
There are two sizes: Small (150–178 cm / 5'0"–5'10") and Large (180 cm+ / 5'11"+). If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up — and if you expect swelling or post-surgical drains, the larger size is usually more comfortable.
Which operations and conditions is it suitable for?
It's commonly used after rotator cuff repair, labral repair, shoulder replacement, dislocation and fracture repair, and by people managing breast-surgery recovery with drains, lymphoedema, or post-stroke mobility limitations. Check with your surgeon if you're unsure.
Can I use one pillow for both arms?
Each pillow supports one arm — it's configured specifically for your left or right shoulder. For support on both sides you'd need one of each.
Will it help shoulder pain that isn't surgical?
Yes. People with rotator cuff injuries, arthritis, bursitis, long-term shoulder pain, stroke-related immobility and lymphoedema-related swelling use the same positioning support to sleep more comfortably.
Is the cover washable?
Yes — the cover is removable and machine-washable. We recommend air-drying rather than tumble-drying. Spare covers are available so you can rotate them during recovery.
How long does UK delivery take?
Orders are dispatched from our UK/EU warehouse. Delivery times and any charges are shown at checkout and in our Delivery Policy.
What if it's not right for me?
You have the right to cancel within 14 days of delivery under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, without giving a reason, and a further 14 days to send it back. Return postage is £7, deducted from your refund; faulty or incorrect items are returned free. See our Returns & Refunds policy for how it works.
